The Department of Theater presents several faculty directed and designed theater productions featuring our students on stage and behind the scenes throughout the year. Tickets are required for all mainstage, faculty directed shows and can be purchased through the Williams Center ticket office. Student productions do not require tickets and are free. All theater productions this year will take place in the Weiss Theater in Buck Hall, downtown on Lafayette’s Williams Arts Campus on North 3rd Street.

A Midsummer Night’s Dream

Miracle on 34th Street

Nov. 30th – Dec. 2nd at 7:30 p.m. & Dec. 3rd at 2:00 p.m.

This 1947 Lux Radio Theater broadcast of the beloved Christmas film Miracle on 34th Street invites audiences to believe in Santa Claus and the magic of the holiday season.  

The Book Club Play

In Karen Zacarias’ hit comedy about books and the readers who love them, a book club becomes the subject of a famous documentary filmmaker’s work with hilarious results.

Student directors will present scenes drawn from American classics like Eugene O’Neill’s Ah Wilderness!

Capstone Performances
Featuring the work of Senior Theater Majors in the THTR 400 Capstone Course
April 26th & 27th at 7:30p.m., April 28th at 2:00p.m.

Our graduating seniors will present performances showcasing their respective skills in  performance, design, technical direction and stage management.
