This season, the Theater Department invites audiences to celebrate legacy and imagination with a lineup that bridges the past, present, and future. From Jane Austen’s wit to beloved children’s tales, our bicentennial offerings spotlight the enduring power of storytelling and collaboration.

SPRING 2026

MARCH 5 - 8 2026

Medea

In this new adaptation of the classic Greek myth by Professor Melissa Livingston, Medea, a woman who has lived her life in service of her husband finds herself cast. Alone, broken, and in despair, Medea hatches a plan that she believes will bring her husband joyfully back to her; instead, things end tragically.

APRIL 30 - MAY 3 2026

The Next One Hundred Years (abridged version)

This abridged version of playwright Caridad Svich’s new play asks who we will be in the next 100 years. This multimedia performance piece, supported by student design fellows, asks audiences to imagine, against all odds, there is a future that is not foreclosed.
