Lafayette College’s Theater Department
announces an Open call for
Assistant Stage Managers and Crew
for the ’25-’26 Theater Season
Sense and Sensibility, Medea, and The Next One Hundred Years (abridged edition)

For Sense and Sensibility, in Fall 2025, we have a special opportunity available for Assistant Stage Managers (no experience necessary).  We have hired a professional stage manager for the show, courtesy of the R.K. Laros ’14  Memorial Endowed Fund, to mentor and train assistant stage managers for both that position and for future positions as stage managers.  If you are interested in getting involved in theater behind the scenes, this is a great opportunity.  Interested candidates should e-mail Technical Director Alexander Owens at owensal@lafayette.edu

In addition, all other crew positions for the remainder of the season are open (crew positions for Stuart Little are assigned as part of the class connected with the production) with the exception of Stage Manager for Sense and Sensibility and Medea. We are in need of multiple assistant stage managers for all shows, and a stage manager for The Next One Hundred Years. A wide range of other crew positions are available as well, including costume crew, run and prop crew, lighting, and sound.

All theater majors and minors must complete at least two practicum credits in a crew position on a production.  All students, regardless of major, can earn a ¼ credit for up to four crew (or acting) positions.  Students interested in crew opportunities should e-mail  Technical Director Alexander Owens at owensal@lafayette.edu.  Students interested in future theater design opportunities in all areas should e-mail Professor Jake Salgado at salgadja@lafayette.edu.
