Brian Hutchison ’93

Recently playing opposite Valerie Harper in her Tony-nominated performance as Tallulah Bankhead in Looped, Brian Hutchison has an accomplished acting career on stage, in film, and on television.  He has appeared on Broadway in Exit the King, Proof, and The Invention of Love; in numerous off-Broadway productions, including From Up Here at Manhattan Theater Club, Mr. Marmalade at the Roundabout, People Be Heard at Playwrights Horizons, The Hiding Place at Atlantic Theater, and She Stoops to Conquer at the Irish Repertory Theater; and at such leading American regional theaters as Barrington Stage Company, Huntington Theater, Westport Playhouse, Williamstown Theater Festival, and Yale Repertory Theater.  His film credits include Love and Other Drugs and Dealbreaker. He also has appeared on television in “Hope and Faith,” “Law and Order: Special Victims Unit,” and “Law and Order: Criminal Intent.”  An English major at Lafayette, Brian Hutchison received his Master of Fine Arts in acting from the University of California at San Diego’s program at the Old Globe Theater in 2000. About his Lafayette experience, he says, “Doing theater at Lafayette allowed me to explore challenging roles in diverse productions, both classical and contemporary, with state-of-the-art facilities.”
